- Clan MacFarlane registers for Pennsic Land as 'Clan mac Pharlain'.

- Spring at last! Perform mock setup of encampment Common Area and Kitchen.

A.S. 37 - 2003
- January
- No New Year's Party this year. Had quiet night at home drinking Margaritas.
- Laird's employer recognizes ability and effort, and agrees to move me in the direction I was seeking.
- Of course, good work is rewarded with more work and a decent raise. Numerous Projects to be coordinated and implemented, but old responsibilities do not
diminish. Tough balance.
- March
- Attended Tavern in Canton of Northpass.
- Outsourcing Initiative deadline extended. No decision made by company.
- Laird buys another van for what will probably be a two car Pennsic to lighten the burden on the vehicles.
- April - A.S. 38
- Put in for additional time to attend Pennsic.
- Begin planning for Pennsic after the Winter thaw. This was brutal Winter and we're looking forward to Summer.
- Launch remodeled web site.
- Laird's Niece is connected with SCA Group near her College, and attends a few events.
- May
- Two year anniversary with current employer.
- Suffered a cold and wet War of the Roses with my Niece, who is accepted with open arms by the Clan and many others.
- June
- Kaylyn suffers the loss of her Grandmother, and is honorably titled the Clan Matriarch. Plans for a proper piping at Pennsic being made.
- July
- August
- Pennsic War. Decision made to explore forming own encampment.
- September
- With much interest in forming Clan Encampment, DunPharlain list started on YahooGroups to discuss and organize.
- October
- Wulfgang and Sandy procure enclosed trailer for hauling encampment gear.
- November
- Wulfgang designs Modified Og Chair and Bench Chests.
- Wulfgang starts feverish winter long construction of furniture.
- December
A.S. 36 - 2002
- January
- Had New Year's Eve Party and Feast Spread bigger than the small gathering of Clan and Northpass attendees could eat. We were eating leftovers for the next week like it was Thanksgiving, even after sending people off with significant portions.
- February
- We've done our service to Society. Four kids were plenty, so Kaylyn had the Factory Closed.
- Some Clan members have "disagreement" leading to some in-fighting over the next several months.
- March
- Attended Tavern in Canton of Northpass for the 2nd year in a row with only the baby in tow stealing the show.
- April - A.S. 37
- Pennsic prep begin once again.
- May
- Attended War of the Roses in Concordia of the Snows
- August
- Pennsic 31 was better than 30 in my opinion.
- Laird gets so lit that they call the Chriugeons to check him out after a night of Pipe
Hunting over Mead and Scotch.
- DRINKING TIP: Keep to one type of drink, and most likely you will avoid sickness.
- Wulfgang attends with Wife Sandy after donating a Kidney to her.

- Attended Barleycorn in Canton of Northpass
- October
- Laird's company announces Outsourcing Initiative that directly impacts his job responsibilities and future with the company.
- Starts jockeying for position over the next few months in order to remain with the company and not be outsourced.
A.S. 35 - 2001
- March
- Attended Tavern in Canton of Northpass without the children. Becomes our annual child-free event.
- Begin Web Site Renovation.
- April - A.S. 36
- Pickup 4 week temp job after UI runs out. Good timing.
- May
- Laird has new fulltime job in Mundania after 8 month dry spell.
- Work takes up so much of his time that the web site renovation falls into limbo for the next two years.
- August
- Attended Pennsic on shoe string budget as unpaid vacation.
- Pennsic 30 was great which the exception of some inter-camp politics getting out of hand.
- Expectations and hype for 30 fell short. Party proofing was a bit out of hand when my obviously 50-something clansmen was denied access to a party without ID.
- November
- MacFarlane's move into 4 bedroom Log Home with plenty of room for the kids to run.
- December
- Kaylyn gives birth to our second daughter, and fourth child, Colleen
A.S. 34 - 2000
- January
- Y2K was bust. We truely didn't go Medieval!
- February
- Major Reorganization starts Web Site involving a refocus of content.
- March
- Reorganization continues, but is unveiled to all.
- Clan MacFarlane Mailing List on OneList promoted, and membership increases.
- April - A.S. 35
- Some link updates and additions.
- May
- Pennsic Prep started.
- Day-tripped Equestrian Event, 'Riding of the Marches,' in the Canton of Northpass.
- Attended 'War of the Roses XX' in the Barony of Concordia of the Snows. Dry run for Pennsic.
- Clan Mailing List quiet. Sent note to stir discussion.
- June
- Clan Rolls updated.
- Clan Mailing List still quiet, but membership increases. Go figure.
- July
- Laird gets job offer from .COM wireless company, and puts in notice when Pennsic Vacation is honored.

- Pennsic was good, and relaxing. Needed after a most 2 years on third-shift, and adjusting to day job.
- September
- Laid-Off! Casualty of the .COM crash, and I was last hired and first fired.
- October
- Stress of layoff takes its toll on my stomach and lands Laird in the Hospital for a week on IV fluids and anti-biotics. Combination CD attack and stomach virus to blame.
